Elon Musk is a South African-born entrepreneur and business magnate. He is the CEO of SpaceX, an aerospace manufacturer and space transport services company, and the CEO of Tesla, Inc., a multinational corporation that specializes in electric vehicles, energy storage and solar panel manufacturing based in Palo Alto, California.


Musk is also the founder of Neuralink, a neurotechnology company that develops implantable brain–machine interfaces (BMIs), and co-founder of OpenAI, a nonprofit research company that promotes friendly artificial intelligence.


Musk has been described as a visionary and innovative leader, and he has been involved in several high-profile projects, including the development of the Hyperloop, a proposed high-speed vactrain transportation system, and the SolarCity, a provider of energy services.
