Islam is a monotheistic religion that was founded in the 7th century in the Arabian Peninsula. It is based on the teachings of the prophet Muhammad, who Muslims believe was the final prophet sent by God (Allah in Arabic) to guide humanity.


Islam is the second-largest religion in the world, with over 1.8 billion followers. It is a religion that emphasizes submission to the will of God and the belief in one God. Muslims follow the teachings of the Qur'an, the holy book of Islam, and the Hadith, a collection of sayings and actions of Muhammad.


Islam is a way of life that encompasses all aspects of an individual's existence, including personal relationships, business, and social interactions. Muslims follow the Five Pillars of Islam, which are the foundational practices of the religion: the declaration of faith (shahadah), prayer (salah), charity (zakah), fasting (sawm), and the pilgrimage to Mecca (hajj).


Muslims also follow the Qur'an's guidance on how to live a righteous and moral life, including the prohibition of certain actions such as gambling, alcohol consumption, and theft.


There are two main branches of Islam: Sunni and Shia. These two branches have some differences in their beliefs and practices, but both follow the teachings of Islam.
